In terms of ability to cure the lacquer, the travel version works the same as the professional version just that it's not as strong so you will have to cure your lacquer for 15-30 seconds more depending on the thickness of your application.

The professional lamp is bigger so it has a nice curve around your hand and can cure the edges of your nails. The travel lamp, in contrast, is flatter so the light only emits straight down; meaning you'd most likely have to cure your four fingers first, then cure your thumb separately. If you put your whole hand under the travel lamp, it’s very likely the sides of your thumb won’t get cured properly.
